Disclosure Framework

About DAIU

DAIU (Disclose AI Usage) is a voluntary, platform-neutral framework for communicating how artificial intelligence contributed to content. Rather than reducing disclosure to a binary AI/not-AI label, DAIU provides different levels of disclosure to describe the degree of AI involvement, including a clear way to state when no AI was used.

  • Human-readable disclosure
  • Machine-readable metadata
  • Different levels of AI involvement
  • Explicit disclosure when no AI was used
  • Voluntary, self-declared disclosure
  • Platform-neutral implementation
  • Compatibility with provenance approaches such as C2PA and IPTC
